Christmas Family Camp

We are also working on planning for meals and crafts and stuff for folks to work on to keep the family busy during the week they are all at our house. My oldest daughter decided we could call it "Christmas Family Camp". We are planning to have craft days set up for the family while they are at our house so we'll have some fun crafts for them to do like a mini-album. You can find the directions for a neat mini album at my daughter's blog http://www.suchatimescrapbooking.com/scrapbook-tutorials/. We are planning to have a sugar cookie day too.

Homemade Christmas

We are having a Homemade Christmas this year. My husband decided that this was a good year to have a homemade Christmas since all my family would be at our house for Christmas since we are having our first grandchild here any minute now.

We drew names from 16 family members and everyone is going to make a homemade gift for the person whose name they drew. We have ideas but we have not started anything yet. My mom, brother and step-father have been making away from the start. My husband and I have had so much going on that we have yet to start on our idea of a homemade Christmas!

I have seen some good sites for ideas:

organizedchristmas.com - http://www.allfreecrafts.com/christmas/index.shtml -
http://www.getrichslowly.org/blog/2008/11/13/a-do-it-yourself-christmas-34-great-gifts-you-can-make-yourself/

So we'll keep looking at ideas and get our gifts finished the night before Christmas!

Still Waiting...

Well, we arrived in San Diego on Wednesday night. Baby Joe was due on Tuesday, Nov 10 and he has decided to wait a bit longer. Jess has had contractions off and on for the last two days and we thought she was going to have him last night as the contractions started last night around 7:30 but stopped later that evening. She was able to get a good nights sleep and we are hoping that he will come today. Dave thinks she'll have him at 4:00 today. We're just waiting now...
